Do you have artistic ability?

Would you like to be the official MGL artist?
Or would you like to choose our mascot?

We need a new logo with three variants, and we'd like to take your submissions to be the new site artist. Gimp, Photoshop or vector files preferred (separate layers preferred to already having them merged down).

Stylistic requirements:

One should be sized at a ratio of 3.5 or 4:1, will normally be viewed at 400x100px. This logo should contain a graphic and the name of the site, "MyGiftedLife.org". This logo should be made at as high a resolution as possible so that it can be used for cups, mousemats and other site souvenirs, or, preferably, be a vector graphic so that we can scale it as needed.

Another should be sized 1:1, normally viewed at 100:100. This should contain the graphic and the letters "MGL", to be used in areas where the main logo will not fit. Again, a higher resolution would be preferable or vector graphic.

A third should be a favicon that matches the other two.

No artwork you do not have the rights to should be used. We need to be able to claim this legally as our logo.

Preferences:

Whether or not you fit the slogan on the big graphic is up to you.

Ideally, I'm looking for a simple graphic and a three-color scheme for the background and text. We want it to match the current skin, but eventually the text and background will be matched to other color schemes, hence the need for a three-color scheme: main, background and accent.

The graphic should be distinctive and identify us. It should be something we will be able to legally register.

We'll take submissions for the next month, at which time we can make a decision.

Yog Sothoth comes to mind, and no... probably not a good idea to have him roaming about. There goes the neighbourhood. LOL

Will give it some more thought and try a few prelim sketches.
