So I can't post this on my LJ unless I want to be dragged through the secrets again. Le sigh. I have been researching creativity. And what I have found is...interesting. It would seem that my life, up to and including my father dying when I had just turned seven, has been grooming me for the direction I've chosen in the last year. I'm not sure about the linking policy on here, but if you look up Ellen Winner creator you should find some stuff. Here is a quote. " In [one] study of major creators, over a fifth had lost one or both parents in childhood[,] . . . the only other groups with such high levels of parental loss are delinquents and depressive or suicidal psychiatric patients" So yeah. My childhood, my personality, my obsession - they all line up with what Winner says is needed to be a "big C creator". So I've been processing that lately.
