Some of you may know about the difficulties of the OGTOC (Our Gifted Online Conferences), a gifted children-focused community which has had a Ning site at giftedonlineconferences.ning.com up until its imminent closure.

The news is that due to the impending removal of free services by Ning, Sally_L, the creator of OGTOC, has set up a Facebook Page, a Facebook Group and a Twitter account.

Update:  I have been informed that there are a number of Twitter accounts for various states relating to Twice-exceptional learning, following the pattern of http://twitter.com/Oregon2E

As stated before, the Ning decision to terminate free services may affect a number of networks that decide not to pay for the premium service, but I have heard that there is a retained free service for K-12 educational accounts, which educators may want to ask Ning about before moving.

Anyway, our warmest regards to Sally in the hopes that her community has a sure and certain future again soon.
