Subtitled: Why it takes me longer to do almost anything these days.
I would like to point out this demonstration that MGL is indeed accessible to older and portable computers. The centerpiece of this exhibit is a Tatung TTAB-B12, the like of which has not been seen for a decade. Surrounding the CPU is a USB keyboard and optical mouse, together with the obligatory book rest and piece of white paper to keep the mouse working. This tablet PC holds a staggering 256Mb of RAM and operates using a Pentium III processor. Note the "Intel Inside" sticker (cue mechanic's voice: "Well, there's yer problem right there, son."). It is currently running Puppy Linux which has in the last 24 hours replaced Ubuntu Linux which was giving this advanced pocket calculator a hernia.
Please remember to be patient on any queries, as it may take up to an hour to send an email from this monstrosity; however, it is eventually possible to not only process and crop images but to post this article from this antique Frankenstein. So please do not let minimum hardware requirements keep you from visiting the site. Anything better than a WebTV box should do.
